I completely understand your skepticism, but I can honestly tell you that it’s not easy. I haven’t had to work really long hours in several months (besides the occasional late night), so I’ve had more opportunities to keep up with articles, questions, emails, etc. Also, I draft articles while at work on downtime – instead of surfing the web, I am working on an article here and there. In terms of resume revision services, I generally work through the weekend on the resumes and always let the person know how many resumes are in line and how many weekends I expect it will take to complete it (generally about 2). I stand behind my work 100% and can point to numerous purchasers who are very satisfied with the end product. Honestly, it is definitely not easy by any means, and requires sacrifices in terms of going out, relaxing, etc, but it’s something that I truly enjoy and plan to pursue on a greater scale in the future (as the site grows and so forth). Just a quick question. Not trying to imply that you don’t work in IB, but how can an Analyst at an I-bank possibly have the time to run this website?

I would be more than willing to pay you for the resume services, but am kind of skeptical that an Analyst can devote so much time to his own business…

Sure Ryan, but what exactly would you like to know? Most of my background information is in the “About” section. Regarding my background with resume revisions, I have revised, edited, and reformatted a number of resumes for fellow analysts, associates, and even college friends/fellow alumni/and current students in the past with generally very positive feedback. I have often found that the best resumes are still lacking in a few areas, subtle as it may be, and those subtleties often make the difference between a phone call, and a ding – especially when it comes to semi- and non-target students. If your resume looks close enough to spot on that I don’t feel it would be worth it for you to get a resume revision, I would recommend that you pass on the opportunity. That said, out of the few people who have sent their resumes to me that fell into that category, more than half of them have have asked to do a resume revision anyway, realizing that another person’s perspective and eyes can often correct the few missteps and poor phrasing choices within the resume (and that, to them, is worth the cost of the service).
